Rates & Insurance

Please contact our office to discuss coverage options, and together we can come up with the solution that will work best for you. Please contact your insurance company who will be able to assist with questions about out-of-network benefits, deductibles, coinsurance, and more. In addition, as a courtesy to everyone we work with, we submit and handle all paperwork on your behalf. Reimbursement will be paid directly to you and you will not have to coordinate with the insurance company.

Cash, check and major credit cards are accepted. Additionally, the Lukin Center is now accepting Health Savings Accounts (HSA) as a direct form of payment without the hassle of submitting paperwork.
We offer online therapy services, through VSee, a HIPAA-compliant telehealth app.
Cancellation Policy:
Please give 48-hour advance notice if you are unable to keep your appointment or we kindly ask that you pay the full cost of the session.

What if I don't know if my insurance plan has out-of-network coverage?
You have one of 2 options. #1 Download the Better app and set it up. Then, go the FAQs+Contact section, scroll all the way down, and send them a note saying that you're interested in working with an out-of-network (OON) psychologist in NJ, and need help verifying whether your insurance plan will reimburse you for this OON service. Better will find out and help you understand your OON coverage. #2 You can DIY. Call the customer service phone number on the back of your insurance card so you can ask questions about your coverage and make an informed decision before getting started with counseling. Here are some helpful questions to ask the representative:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • What is my out-of-network deductible? Does that include medical? Have I met it?

  • Are out-of-network services by a licensed clinical psychologist covered?

  • What is my co-insurance for out-of-network care?

  • Is any pre-approval required under any circumstances before obtaining out-of-network mental health services to be reimbursed?

  • For psychotherapy, ask: Do you cover procedural codes 90834 and/or 90837? For psychological testing, ask: Do you cover procedural codes 96101 and/or 96118?
  • For psychotherapy, ask: What is the maximum allowed amount for procedural codes 90834 and/or 90837? For psychological testing, ask: What is the maximum allowed amount for procedural codes 96101 and/or 96118? ***FYI Sometimes the representative will say they can't tell you. This is illegal. You have a right to this information and they must tell you. If they still won't tell you, then ask them to begin recording the call and request to speak with a supervisor.***
  • If I have out-of-network benefits, will I be reimbursed the full amount I paid or a percentage? What percentage?

We strive to provide patients with an atmosphere where they can achieve set mental health and personal development milestones, utilizing the latest evidenced-based treatments and therapies.
