Adam Wright, Ph.D., is a Psychotherapist, Certified Mental Skills Consultant, and Executive Coach specializing in performance psychology, resilience, and emotional well-being. As the Director of Mental Conditioning for the Washington Nationals and a performance consultant for NJ/NY Gotham FC, Dr. Wright collaborates with clients in high-pressure environments, including elite athletes, corporate leaders, and performing artists.

Dr. Wright integrates evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions, and psychoanalytic techniques. His holistic approach combines mental and emotional conditioning with physical wellness, supported by his certifications as a strength coach and exercise physiologist.

Dr. Wright works with clients on challenges like performance anxiety, career transitions, relationship dynamics, and injury recovery. He fosters a collaborative and compassionate environment, helping clients feel empowered as they work toward their goals. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Wright is passionate about mentorship and advancing the field of sport psychology. He has taught at Georgian Court University and the University of the Sciences and provides training and supervision for early-career professionals.

Dr. Wright earned his Ph.D. and M.Ed. in Kinesiology (Psychology of Movement) from Temple University, an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis, and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from the University of Texas at Dallas. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from LaSalle University, where he graduated maxima cum laude. Outside of his work, Dr. Wright enjoys running, exploring new cuisines, and spending time with his family.
