Ami P. Kang, LCSW Assistant Clinical Director, Psychotherapist Assistant Director of Couples Counseling Ami Kang is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and the Assistant Clinical Director at Lukin Center for Psychotherapy. She brings extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, and families, and specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, and family relationship issues. Her strengths-based, client-centered approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems theory, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support meaningful and lasting change. Ami has advanced training in both Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which she incorporates into her work with individuals and couples to address trauma, attachment wounds, and relational challenges. She is deeply committed to creating individualized treatment plans that consider each client’s unique life circumstances, while grounding her work in evidence-based practices. As Assistant Clinical Director, Ami plays a key role in supporting the clinical team, overseeing quality of care, and helping guide the center’s vision for compassionate, research-informed treatment. She is also actively involved in the supervision and training of emerging clinicians.
